Bio
Mason West began his career as a Criminal Prosecutor for the Ninth Judicial Circuit Solicitor’s Office. During his career as a prosecutor, Mason prosecuted hundreds of cases including Murders, Assaults, Armed Robberies, Burglaries, DUI’s, Drug Cases, and Property Crimes. His experience as a Prosecutor has helped transition his career in private practice to areas of the law that focus primarily on litigation, particularly Personal Injury, Automobile Collisions, Workman’s Compensation and Criminal Defense.
When Mason joined the West Law Firm, he knew that he had a passion for helping people. He saw a need for the people of Berkeley County, and the surrounding Low Country, to have an accessible, knowledgeable, and Court tested attorney. Mason’s skills in negotiation and courtroom experience have fueled his practice and he continues to fight for his clients every day.
Before becoming a prosecutor, Mason earned his Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law. During law school, Mason worked at Nelson, Mullins, Riley, & Scarborough, LLP as well as Lewis & Babcock, LLP in Columbia, SC. Prior to law school, Mason double majored at the University of South Carolina in the Darla Moore School of Business with degrees in Finance and Business Management, as well as a minor in Political Science. Mason earned high honors during his tenure at the University of South Carolina, graduating Magna Cum Laude. While taking a full course load at the University of South Carolina, Mason worked as a Page in the South Carolina State Senate and later worked at Lewis & Babcock, LLP. Also, Mason interned in the United States Senate on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C.

Mason West is a fourth generation resident of Berkeley County growing up in a large family in Moncks Corner. When he is not at the office, Mason spends his time coaching youth sports, hunting, fishing, spending time with his wife and four children, and watching his Gamecocks play.
