Bio

Rion grew up in Bainbridge, Georgia. A knack for baseball enabled him to play for Tallahassee Community College and eventually High Point University where he received a B.S. in Psychology. After a brief stint as a professional relief pitcher, Rion moved to South Carolina and attended the Charleston School of Law. While in law school, Rion was a member of the Trial Advocacy Board and served as its President during his final year. In 2023, he graduated law school, passed the bar, and began his legal career as an associate attorney at Hood Law Firm in downtown Charleston.

There, he successfully defended insured individuals and businesses in highly complex cases in state and federal court including product liability issues, medical malpractice claims, and dram shop actions. His experience defending personal injury cases shaped his ability to evaluate claims critically, anticipate defenses, and build strong, evidence-driven arguments. Now he uses those skills to represent individuals and families navigating some of the most difficult moments of their lives.

In addition to being a baseball fan, Rion is an avid reader, moviegoer, and mediocre golfer. However, his favorite out-of-office activity is simply spending time with his wife, daughter, and two dogs.
